One killed in Sunday shooting in Moses Lake
MOSES LAKE β Two males were shot at a Moses Lake residence Sunday morning, leaving one dead and one injured.
A statement by the Moses Lake Police Department Sunday evening said that just before 6 a.m., MLPD officers responded to a report of shots fired in the 3000 block of Road H Northeast.
When officers arrived at the residence, they found a 20-year-old male who had been shot multiple times and was unresponsive, according to the statement. Medical aid by the officers was unsuccessful and the victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
Officers later learned that another male, 17, had also been shot at the residence in the same incident and had been transported by personal vehicle to Samaritan Hospital, according to the statement. The teen was treated and released for his wounds.
The statement does not indicate if the victims knew each other, their relation to the residence or if the surviving witness identified who shot him.
The release states it is an ongoing investigation and anyone who saw anything in that area that morning is asked to call 509-764-3887 in reference to case 22ML16897.
