ACSO seizes thousands of fentanyl pills in Othello bust
OTHELLO - The Adams County Sheriff’s Office seized over 2,000 fentanyl pills from an Othello resident during a narcotics search warrant on Oct. 10.
A release by ACSO states that at about 10 p.m. on Oct. 10, a team from ACSO served a narcotics search warrant in the 600 Block of Wagon Road in Othello.
During the search warrant Deputies located approximately 2000 fentanyl pills, according to the release, that were packaged and ready for distribution. Cash, two rifles, ammunition and other unspecified items were found with the pills.
Jaime Alberto Garza, 51, of Othello was booked for suspicion of unlawful possession of a firearm 2nd degree and possession with intent to deliver illegal substance fentanyl.
On Oct. 11, ACSO also conducted a search warrant on a vehicle that was in possession of Garza.
The release states during the search, about 100 more suspected fentanyl pills were located as well as approximately 4oz of a crystal substance that field tested positive for meth and had been packaged for distribution.
