50 horses hath October
Miss Rodeo Washington Lexy Hibbs sits atop Badger, an 11-year-old, flea-bitten gray quarter horse, one of 26 horses she rode Sunday afternoon at Iron Legacy Ranch south of Ritzville. The rides were part of the Pink 50 Horse Challenge, a fundraiser and breast cancer awareness campaign, as well as a scholarship competition for the Miss Rodeo America pageant in Las Vegas at the end of November.
