Pedestrian killed in Moses Lake accident

MOSES LAKE — A pedestrian was struck and killed early Tuesday morning along SR 17 in Moses Lake.

A release by the Washington State Patrol states that Cynthia Jackson, 58 of Moses Lake, was driving southbound on SR 17 just before 1 a.m. in a 2008 Kia Sorento. She was approaching Yonezawa Boulevard in the left lane when she struck a 36-year-old female pedestrian, identified as Tawney Guenther of Spokane, who was also in the left lane.

Guenther’s next of kin has been notified, according to authorities.

The release states Jackson was not injured and charges are pending.
