COLUMBIA BASIN — Several local law enforcement agencies are putting on charitable drives for the upcoming holiday season.

The Moses Lake Police Department’s Fifth Annual Tip-a-Cop night hosted at Rock Top Burgers and Brew in Moses Lake raises money for the department’s Shop with a Cop Program. Members of the MLPD, Warden Police Department and Grant County Sheriff’s Office along with Columbia Basin Tech Criminal Justice Program students serve dinner at Rock Top, and children will be able to take photos with Santa Claus.

Tip-a-Cop is hosted on Dec. 7, and Rock Top Burgers and Brew is located at 930 N. Stratford Road in Moses Lake.

Quincy Police Department’s Cops & Kids program provides meals for families on Thanksgiving and assists families for the Christmas holiday. Seven families were selected as part of the Cops & Kids program this year, and donations can be made to the program up until Dec. 13. Monetary and other donations can be dropped off at the QPD office, located at 223 First Ave. SW in Quincy.
