Bluegrass trio to play in George on Saturday

GEORGE — Three Northwestern bluegrass virtuosos will take the stage Saturday at the George Community Hall, according to a statement from the community center.

Nick Dumas, Chris Luquette and Andrew Knapp will perform at 7 p.m. Dumas, a mandolin player who grew up in Brier, north of Seattle, has performed with North Country Bluegrass and the Chicago-based Special Consensus, according to his website. Guitarist Chris Luquette, also originally from the Seattle area, was a founding member of the Seattle-based Northern Departure and has performed twice at the Grand Ole Opry as a member of Dirty Kitchen, according to his website. Admission is $5 and a hat will be passed for the musicians as well, with a suggested donation of $10-$12. Refreshments will be served, according to the statement.
