FEDERAL WAY – Moses Lake High School swimmers performed well in the state meet Friday and Saturday with multiple young athletes receiving medals for their efforts.

Senior Makhaela Parrish placed 3rd in the 200-yard freestyle with a time of 1:58.27 and 8th in the 500-yard freestyle with a time of 5:23.39.

The 200 freestyle relay saw a 3rd-place finish with a time of 1:40.36. The relay team consisted of, from left to right, Issabelle Parrish, Julia Heaps, Makhaela Parrish and Kathryn DuVall.

In the 400-yard freestyle relay, the team took 4th with a time of 3:41.83. The relay team was made up of, from left to right, Aniston Dana, Makhaela and Issabelle Parrish and Julia Heaps. In this relay, the team broke the school record set in 2021 by .06 of a second.
