State competitions set for this week

COLUMBIA BASIN – That time of the season is here, as local teams enter the state playoffs. Of the 12 schools here in the Basin, three have teams vying to bring home a state championship this weekend and four begin the road to a championship. Thursday, Nov. 10

Ephrata volleyball at Ellensburg - district championship game at 7 p.m. Winner advances to state, loser to District 5/6/8 Crossover.

No. 13 seed MLCA/CCS volleyball vs No. 20 seed Columbia Adventist - state playoff game at 8 a.m. at the Yakima Valley SunDome.

No. 11 seed Lind-Ritzville volleyball vs No. 6 seed Goldendale - state playoff game at 8 a.m. at the Yakima Valley SunDome.

WIAA 4A State Swim and Dive Meet - includes Moses Lake. Diving competition is on Thursday at the King County Aquatic Center in Federal Way.

Friday, Nov. 11

No. 15 seed Ephrata football at No. 2 seed W. F. West - 4 p.m. at Centralia High School.

WIAA 4A State Swim and Dive Meet - includes Moses Lake. 4A prelims begin at 8:45 a.m. at the King County Aquatic Center in Federal Way.

Saturday, Nov. 12

No. 9 seed ACH football at No. 8 seed Naselle - 2 p.m. at South Bend High School.

No. 5 seed Othello football vs No. 12 seed Washington - 1 p.m.

No. 1 seed Royal football vs No. 16 seed Cascade Christian - 1 p.m.

WIAA 4A State Swim and Dive Meet - includes Moses Lake. 4A finals begin at 8:30 a.m. at the King County Aquatic Center in Federal Way.
