Doreen Barlow Iverson
June 15, 1931 – November 7, 2022
Doreen Barlow Iverson, 91, passed away Monday, Nov. 7, 2022, surrounded by loved ones.
Doreen was born June 15, 1931, in Tremonton, Utah to Fielding Burton and Ona Barlow. Doreen grew up on a small family chicken farm and in her teenage years she worked with her father at the tire store in Logan, Utah. After high school Doreen worked as a telephone operator at Utah Power and Light Company in Tremonton.
Doreen married Lee on Sept. 18, 1950, in the Logan Temple of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. They moved to Royal Slope in 1956 where they cleared the sagebrush, built their home and raised their four children.
Doreen was active in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in several positions including ward and stake Relief Society presidencies and as a temple worker, then serving a mission with Lee in Ventura, California in 1997 and 1998.
Doreen enjoyed knitting with a wonderful group of ladies in Royal City. She found joy in indexing and genealogy work.
Doreen was preceded in death by her parents, sisters Kae and Ann and brothers Howard and Fielding.
She is survived by her sister Ruth and her children Deb (Russell) Keeley, Joe (Patty) Iverson, Leanne (Gordon) Minter and Naomi Sue (Rich) Reno; 16 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren.
The family would like to thank the staff at Callaway Gardens for their kind and loving care.
Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m., viewing at 10 a.m., Saturday, Nov. 12, 2022, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Royal Camp, 357 Christensen Road SE, Royal Camp, Washington. Burial will follow in Royal Memorial Gardens.
