Legal Notice: NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Draft 2023 Assessment Roll and Schedule of Rates for the Moses Lake Irrigation and Rehabilitation District (MLIRD) is now on file and open to inspection at the office at 932 E. Wheeler Road, Moses Lake, Washington. The total proposed rate is $.25 per $1000 of assessed value as authorized by RCW 87.84.070. The Board has determined not to assess under RCW Ch. 87.03 this year due to court decision. The MLIRD Board of Directors may decide to reduce that rate but will not increase it. The Draft Assessment Roll and Schedule of Rates is based on the best information currently available to MLIRD with information provided by Grant County. Accordingly, the actual assessments for particular properties may vary from the current draft as valuation figures are updated or corrected by the County. The MLIRD Board of Directors will meet on November 8, 2022 at 6:45 p.m. in the MLIRD boardroom at 932 E. Wheeler Road, Moses Lake, Washington, as a Board of Equalization and hear objections to the Draft Assessment Roll and Schedule of Rates. The Board of Directors may, if necessary, continue in session from day to day as long as may be necessary, not to exceed ten days, exclusive of Saturday and Sundays, to hear and determine such objections to the said Draft Assessment Roll and Schedule of Rates as may come before them.
