Moses Lake, Othello, Ephrata compete at state track meet

TACOMA - The 2A, 3A, and 4A state Track and Field meet was held at Mount Tahoma High School over the weekend with teams from Ephrata, Othello and Moses Lake participating.

The Ephrata boys team tied for 7th in the 2A boys category. The Othello girls team took 29th overall in girls 2A, with the Ephrata girls following behind at 39th in the same category. The Moses Lake girls team took 33rd in girls 4A.

4A results:

Moses Lake senior Ebubechi Abonyi placed 6th in the girls triple jump finals.

Moses Lake senior Marus Duvall placed 9th in the javelin finals and 14th in the shot put finals.

Moses Lake senior Zachary Reyer placed 16th in the discus finals.

2A results

Ephrata junior Weslee Kriete placed 2nd in both the discus finals and the shot put finals.

Othello senior Ashley Perez placed 2nd in the discus finals.

Ephrata senior Cole Hertz placed 3rd in the javelin finals.

Ephrata junior Joshua Green placed 5th in the boys 200-meter dash finals, took 14th in the boys 100 meter preliminaries.

Ephrata senior Hayden Mills placed 7th in the javelin finals.

Ephrata junior Tyler Raine placed 8th in the boys 300-meter hurdle finals. He was disqualified in the boys 110-meter hurdles preliminaries due to a rules infraction.

Ephrata sophomore Hayden Roberts took 9th in the boys 800 meter preliminary and placed 12th in the boys 1600 finals.

The Ephrata boys 4x400 relay team took 10th in the preliminary and did not move on to the finals. The team was composed of junior Tyler Raine, sophomore Hayden Roberts, sophomore Aiden Devine and junior Joshua Green.

The Ephrata boys 4x100 relay team took 11th in the preliminary and did not move on to the finals. The team was composed of junior Tyler Raine, junior Travis Hendrick, junior Hunter Handy and junior Joshua Green.

Othello senior Madisen Douglas took 13th in the 400 meter preliminaries. She did not move on to finals.

The Ephrata girls 4x100 relay team took 15th in the preliminary and did not move on to the finals. The team was composed of sophomore Alessa Soto, senior Samantha MacNeil, sophomore Kadie McMullen and freshman Makaena Judkins.

The Ephrata girls 4x200 relay team took 15th in the preliminary and did not move on to the finals. The team was composed of sophomore Alessa Soto, senior Samantha MacNeil, sophomore Kadie McMullen and freshman Makaena Judkins.
