COLUMBIA BASIN — Travelers can expect some delays on North Central Washington highways this week as road construction projects continue.

Lane and turn restrictions are in effect at the intersection of State Route 17 and Grape Drive, where the traffic light is being removed and a roundabout installed. Left lane closures and detours have been put in place at the intersection, and are in effect 24 hours per day.

Drivers traveling to and from Wenatchee can expect some delays north of Quincy from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Tuesday through Thursday. Crews from the Douglas County PUD are installing fiber optic cable infrastructure along three miles of road about 20 miles north of Quincy. Traffic will be controlled by flaggers and short delays can be expected, according to information from the Washington Department of Transportation.
