Updated: Subject in police standoff in custody

UPDATE: Access to Maple Street was restored after the suspect, who has not yet been identified, was taken into custody at about 1:45 p.m., according to information from GCSO. The full report can be found here.

Schools in the area, including Longview Elementary School, had been on lockdown, but the lockdown has been lifted.

MOSES LAKE — The Grant County Sheriff’s Office is asking people to avoid the area of Maple Drive between Alma Road Northeast and Stewart Road Northeast and for area residents to stay indoors.

A message on GCSO social media said that as of 1:25 p.m., a person is barricaded inside a building in the area.
