Groff Elementary BBQ held Friday

Moses Lake School District food service director Mel Lopez said hosting a spring barbecue had developed into a tradition at most MLSD elementary schools until the COVID-19 pandemic. They’re being revived for 2022, and nine of the district’s 11 elementary schools opted for a barbecue.

“We’re excited to be able to get back to doing barbecues,” Lopez said.

It was the first barbecue at Groff Elementary, which opened last fall.
