CWU Board of Trustees honor 2022 distinguished faculty
CWU History Professor Jason Knirk received the 2022 Board of Trustees Distinguished Faculty Award. Knirk has taught for 17 years at CWU and received a $5,000 award as part of the recognition for his dedication to excellence.

Professor Blaise Dondji teaches biological sciences at CWU, with special knowledge of parasitology, immunology and infectious diseases.
Lisa Ely is a geoglogy professor at CWU and has worked in the Department of Geological Sciences at CWU since 1994. Ely has provided many research opportunities for her students according to a CWU press release.
Professor Francis Divine serves in CWU's Law and Justice program and has worked not only with legal students but has served in a variety of other capacities as well.
Karisa Terry provides instruction for CWU's Department of Anthropology and has since 2009. She has been recognized for her course design and the creativity of her assignments.
The Central Washington University Board of Trustees has selected their five honorees to be recognized as distinguished faculty. The ceremony for the annual awards started in 1977 to recognize faculty who have excelled in teaching, research/artistic accomplishment and public service. The honorees’ names will appear on a continuing plaque on campus, and each will receive a monetary award.
