MLHS principal promoted
MOSES LAKE — The Moses Lake School District announced this week that Triscia Hoschstatter, the current principal of Moses Lake High School, has been named the district’s new executive director of elementary education and student support services.
“It’s a new arena for me,” Hochstatter said. “I’ve spent some time with elementary, but the vast majority of my experience is with secondary education.”
Hochstatter has been MLHS principal since 2019, and has worked as a teacher and administrator for MLSD for nearly 30 years, according to a district press release. During her career in Moses Lake, Hochstatter has worked as the assistant director of teaching and learning, the district’s summer school director, MLHS assistant principal, an instructional coach and a high school math teacher.
In her new position, Hochstatter said she will work with elementary school principals and student services like individual education plans and improvement plans. She will replace current executive director for elementary education and student support services Kevin Peterson, who recently resigned.
Hochstatter will begin her new role effective July 1, according to the press release.
“It’s exciting to venture out with something new,” she said.
