Basin teams head to regionals on the diamond

COLUMBIA BASIN - Six local baseball teams have made the mark to advance to regionals.

Regionals are set for May 21 in various locations around Washington. Winners move on in the competition while losers are out.

Here are the six local teams and when they play:

  • ACH is ranked No. 2 with a record of 16-4-1. They play at Larson Playfield, the time is yet to be announced, against the winner of a play-in between No. 10 Mossyrock and No. 7 Mount Vernon Christian today.
  • No. 5 Ephrata, 19-5, takes on No. 12 Fife at 10 a.m. at WF West High School.
  • Moses Lake has a 17-4 record and is ranked No. 5. They take on No. 12 Curtis at 10 a.m. at Richland High School.
  • Royal is Ranked No. 10 with an 11-7 record. They take on No. 7 La Center at Anacortes High School at 10 a.m.
  • Warden is ranked No. 15 with a 14-6 record. They play against No. 2 Brewster at Brewster High School at 10 a.m.
  • Quincy is ranked No. 16 with a 12-10 record. They play against No. 1 Cedar Park Christian (Bothell) at Skagit Community College at 10 a.m.
