MOSES LAKE — A movie filmed in Yakima and directed by a Yakima native will have its Moses Lake screening at 7:30 p.m. May 19 at the Fairchild Cinemas, 233 N. Block St.

“All Sorts,” directed by J. Rick Castaneda, was filmed in Yakima in 2018. It had its festival premiere at the Seattle International Film Festival in 2021.

“All Sorts” follows the story of Diego (Eli Vargas), a data entry clerk and the new guy in the office at a company in Yakima. He meets a girl named June (Greena Park) - and man, can she file things away. She’s fast. Her skills lead the two on a series of adventures.

Castaneda said the story was prompted by office jobs he had after moving to Los Angeles. It’s his second feature film, following “Cement Suitcase,” his 2011 film that followed the life of a wine salesman in Prosser.

The film will be released via video on demand and DVD later this year.

CORRECTION: The actor's name who plays Diego in the film has been corrected above.
