NOTICE TO CONTRACTORS SIGNAL CABINET REPLACEMENT-2022 Moses Lake, Washington Sealed bids will be received at the Civic Center Annex, 321 South Balsam, (P. O. Box 1579), Moses Lake, Washington 98837 until May 17, 2022; 2:00 PM, for the above-named improvement. Said bids will be opened and publicly read at that time. All bids shall be received before said opening time in sealed envelopes with SIGNAL CABINET REPLACEMENT-2022 marked plainly thereon. All bids shall be accompanied by a deposit in the form of a postal money order, cashier's check, or bond in an amount equal to 5 percent of the maximum total amount of the bid. Should the successful bidder fail to enter into a contract or furnish a satisfactory contract bond within the time stated in the specifications, the deposit shall be forfeited to the City. The Contractor shall remove the existing traffic signal cabinet and signal controller at 10 intersections in Moses Lake and install a replacement traffic signal cabinet and controller at each location that are provided by the City of Moses Lake. The Contractor shall install the City provided LED pedestrian count down pedestrian modules, new pedestrian push buttons, LED 12" yellow balls, left turn LED red arrows, left turn LED yellow arrows, and left turn yield on flashing yellow signs (30"x36") to replace the left turn yield on green ball signs where indicated in the plans. The work shall include all traffic control, labor, equipment, tools, and materials required to install the replacement cabinet and controller, to coordinate the work with the Grant County PUD if necessary and the McCain cabinet supplier, to troubleshoot and replace any shorted wires, to complete all rewiring including change to lagging left turn yield on flashing yellow arrow where needed, and to obtain all electrical permits. Additionally, the Contractor shall install the Wavetronix Smart Sensor Digital Wave Radar traffic detection system at each intersection where shown in the plans and specifications.
