Wayne Frost

| March 30, 2022 1:00 AM

Wayne Allen Frost passed away March 4, 2022, at the age of 82, in Ephrata, Wash. He is survived by his three children, four grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren: children Vance (Tammy) Frost, Jim (Lesley) Frost and Ann (Charlie) Gwynn; grandchildren Kirsten (Sutton) Coombs, Lianna (Jacob) Frost, Taylor (Laura) Edwards and Mackenzie Frost; great-grandchildren Marshall, Cambria, Kaydence, Florence, Greyson, Bennett, Dylan and Reese; older brother Jim (Alice) Frost; and nieces and nephews Raymond (Amanda) Frost, Marie (Dennis) Hungerford and Allen Frost.

Those who loved him knew he didn’t want a big show or to-do over him, but a bit of remembrance is deserved. Wayne was known to his grandkids as Gramps. He was known to be tough as nails on the outside, but always a smile and a “how do” when he saw you, and a soft spot a mile wide in his heart for his grandkids and great-grandkids. There’s nothing he wouldn’t do for them and his son and daughter-in-law, Jim and Lesley. He could talk for hours telling stories about anything from cow camps in the Pasayten Wilderness to fishing and crabbing on the Washington Coast. He enjoyed gardening and sharing the fruits of his labor with anyone he saw on a regular basis.

Services will be held at the Beaver Creek Cemetery, Twisp, Wash., at 11 a.m. April 2, 2022.
