March 25

Report of a man allegedly walking around naked from the intersection of West Broadway and South Burress Ave. Police arrived on scene to find the man had gone back into his residence.

Report of a theft near the intersection of Road 5 and Road N Northeast. MLPD assisted Grant County Sheriff’s Office with reporting party claiming the theft of $200-$300 of items from a tractor plus painting of graffiti as well.

Report of damage to property by juveniles in the 1300 block of East Sandpiper Circle. Reporting party said property damage was an ongoing issue, and gave police a video.

Sudden death reported in the 1300 block of West Shelby Street. Police responded, called the coroner and assisted with clearing the house and storing belongings on the property.

Report of a sudden death in the 2900 block of West Lakeside Drive. Grant County Sheriff’s Office contacted and deputies took custody of the scene.

Report of a wanted person in the 800 block of West Broadway Avenue. who was found to have an outstanding misdemeanor warrant with Grant County. However, jail would not take into custody.

Report of theft from the 600 block of Balsam Street. The reporting party said someone might have a spare key to his mailbox as his mail was taken. Was advised to contact landlord and get locks replaced.

Report of trespassing from the 400 block of West Ridge Avenue. Juveniles were reported on the roof of a shed on school grounds, officers lectured and warned juveniles.

Report of a traffic accident in the 900 block of North Stratford Road. Reporting party said he was sitting in his parked vehicle when a pickup truck backed out and hit it, and then fled the scene.

Report of shots heard in the 1100 block of West Marina Avenue. Officers checked area for shell casings, were unable to find anything.

Report of shots heard in the 1300 block of West Javelin. A resident reported hearing multiple gunshots, officers checked and were unable to find anything.

March 26

Officers stopped vehicle for expired registration, noticed Vehicle identification number appeared to be altered, suspect provided few details. VIN on chassis was checked and vehicle was found stolen.

Report of a verbal disturbance from the 1900 block of West Marina Drive. Reporting party said a neighbor was upset and came outside with a firearm, told officers he heard gunshots. Officers were unable to make contact with the suspect, who had gone inside.

Officers attempted to stop a vehicle driving without headlights near the intersection of West Broadway Avenue and South Gibby Rd. Vehicle fled and headed east on I-90, MLPD did not pursue.

Report of a noise complaint from the 4300 block of West Peninsula Drive. Female suspect was contacted and told she could continue to celebrate her wedding but needed to turn down the music a little.

Report of a theft from the 1000 block of North Stratford Road. Suspect left store with a mountain bike without paying for it and was taken into custody at a nearby mini-mart.

Report of suspicious persons from the 1400 block of West Marina Drive. Reporting party said four males in their 20s were looking into his truck. They fled when he approached them with a bat.

Report of a suspicious circumstance at the corner of Patton Boulevard. and Loring Drive. Three females were observed playing in a park and yelling.

Report of a suspicious vehicle in the 800 block of South Fairbanks Drive. Suspect was taken into custody after he found asleep in a stolen vehicle with a gun at his side.

Report of theft of gasoline from the 700 block of South Dahlia Avenue. Reporting party said roughly five gallons of gas were siphoned out of his vehicle’s gas tank.

March 27

Report of fraud from the 900 block of North Stratford Road when the suspect used two counterfeit $10 bills to pay for the purchase. No charges were pursued.

Multiple reports of shots fired near the intersection of East Sharon Avenue and South Monroe Street. Officers found and collected several shell casings, no reports of injuries or damage to homes.

March 28

Report that a man pointed a gun at someone from the gravel portion of West Luta Drive. Reporting party said the man pointed the gun as he drove past, the individual was last seen walking west on Luta toward Paxson. Police were unable to locate the man.

Report of a catalytic converter theft from the 500 block South Interlake Road. Suspect cut through a fence and took catalytic converters from two separate vehicles.

Report from a city employee that drug paraphernalia was found near Groff Elementary School.

Report of a domestic disturbance from the 1200 block of South Balsam Street. Officers contacted the resident who was found to be playing loud music and working on his rap skills.

Report of a suspicious person from the 700 block of North Central Drive. Female with green hair in her late 20s or early 30s was reported stealing packages from mailboxes. Officers were unable to locate the suspect.

Report of a stray animal from the 3700 block of West Broadway Avenue when reporting party said two of his neighbor’s cows were in his backyard. Police officers helped the owner walk the cows back home and fix broken fence.
