March 11
Report of an armed robbery and possible vehicle theft at the intersection of Miller Street NE and Longview Street NE. Reporting party said he was punched several times by a passenger and then hit with a pistol as he was driving.
Report of a domestic disturbance in the 1100 block of W. Gem Avenue. Suspect was taken into custody after threatening two victims with a knife and then barricading himself in a bathroom.
Report from City of Moses Lake Parks and Recreation Department staff of an attempt to steal the sound system from the Larson Ball Field on S. Yakima Avenue.
Report from Moses Lake High School that drugs, tobacco and alcohol were found in a student’s backpack.
Report for the 1400 block of E. Craig Street that a juvenile suspect contacted victims while they were walking home and threatened to hurt them and their families. The suspect was taken into custody.
Report of a shotgun blast in the 400 block of N. Dale Road. Officers responded and found fireworks at the suspect’s house, who admitted to lighting them off and was warned for setting off fireworks in the city limits.
March 12
Report from Grant County Sheriff’s Office of a vehicle fleeing a business on N. Frontage Road. MLPD attempted to stop vehicle driven by a light-skinned heavy-set and possibly bearded male with a white female passenger on Wheeler Road going 60 in a 35 mph zone, which fled into nearby neighborhood, was later found unoccupied and towed.
Report of threats made in the 1800 block of W. Broadway Avenue. Reporting party told police a man banged on his door and threatened to kill him, and wished to pursue charges.
Report of a burglary in the 3500 block of W. Peninsula Drive. Reporting party said unknown suspect made a hole in the side of the building to get inside, but did not appear to steal anything and aside from the giant hole in the wall, there was no damage.
Report of vehicle damage from the 1800 block of E. Kittleson Drive. Reporting party said a tire was slashed while parked in the parking lot of a hotel.
Report of a theft of $500 worth of shoes from a shoe store in the 900 block of N. Stratford Road.
Report of a dead chicken in the 600 block of S. Ironwood Drive. Officers said dog was surrendered and was impounded at Grant County Animal Outreach.
March 13
Report of harassment in the 1100 block of S. Balsam Street. Reporting party said ex-boyfriend was banging on the doors and windows of the residence before fleeing from responding officers. Suspect was later taken into custody and booked for felony eluding, stalking, criminal trespass and resisting arrest.
Report of an attempted theft from a business in the 12000 block of N. Frontage Road. Reporting party observed suspects attempt to enter the property to steal batteries. Officers took suspects into custody, who admitted to the theft and were permanently trespassed from the property.
Multiple reports of drive-by shootings along W. Marina Drive. Two vehicles were seen driving at a high rate of speed, victim vehicle was stopped and taken pending a search warrant.
March 14
Report from the 800 block of E. Plum Street of the theft of two catalytic converters from vehicles at Grant Mental Health.
Report of a student arrested in possession of a firearm at Chief Moses Middle School and charged with four counts of assault as well as possession of a firearm on school grounds.
Report of vehicle break-in and theft from the 1100 block of N. Grape Drive. Reporting party said vehicle window was pried open and wallet, knife and keychain pepper spray were taken.
Report of a burglary in the 9800 block of Apple Road NE. Suspects broke into a vacant residence and stole approximately $1,700 worth of cameras and damaged a $350 router. Suspect vehicle was caught on camera but not located.
Report of a two-vehicle collision in the 700 block of N. Stratford Road. One vehicle rear-ended another, no reports of injuries.
Report of domestic disturbance in the 900 block of N. Stratford Road. Male subject was reported assault a small child, was taken into custody for outstanding warrants in Adams County.
