Land bureau seeks teacher for internship

WENATCHEE — The Bureau of Land Management, which oversees public lands across the United States, is seeking a local K-12 teacher for its Teachers on Public Lands summer internship program.

According to a Bureau press release, the selected teacher will support the Bureau’s Wenatchee Field Office’s educational and outreach activities and develop outreach programs, outdoor recreation activities and help inform the public about the Bureau’s conservation programs and stewardship of public lands.

Applicants must be U.S. citizens and certified as K-12 teachers, according to the press release, and will receive a $2,200 stipend and paid tuition for a three-hour, graduate-level professional development course offered through the University of Colorado-Denver.
