ACSO Sergeant takes honors at FBI Academy
QUANTICO, VA - The Adams County Sheriff's Office announced March 17 that ACSO Sergeant Juan Garcia graduated from the FBI National Academy with honors.
“We are so proud of his accomplishments and are looking forward to him sharing his new knowledge and experience with our agency and our community,” the announcement stated.
According to fbi.gov, the FBI National Academy is a professional course of study for U.S. and international law enforcement managers nominated by their agency heads because of demonstrated leadership qualities. The 10-week program provides coursework in intelligence theory, terrorism and terrorist mindsets, management science, law, behavioral science, law enforcement communication and forensic science.
The purpose of the program is to improve the administration of justice in police departments and agencies at home and abroad and to raise law enforcement standards, knowledge and cooperation worldwide, according to the website.
The announcement stated that ACSO wanted to recognize the sacrifice Garcia and his family made to allow him to attend the program.
