Marsha Bright 75, passed away peacefully in her sleep, Saturday March 5, 2022.

Marsha was born July 23,1946 in Yakima WA. Marsha was the 7th of 8 children born to George and Thelma Sharpnack. She lived in Selah, WA until she graduated from Selah High school In 1964 and moved to the Moses Lake area for work. She joined the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints shortly after and served an 18-month mission to the Kentucky/Tennessee area. She met James Bright shortly after her return. The two were married in the LDS Idaho Falls, ID temple. They had 3 children.

Marsha was an active member of her church and LOVED to work on her family history. She spent hours working on her genealogy and could often be found on her computer researching and writing letters. She worked at McCain’s food processing for over 20 years.

After Marsha retired, she spent several years working in the LDS Columbia River Temple with her husband James. She loved her family; her grandchildren were her pride and joy.

Marsha is preceded in death by her husband, her parents, and her siblings. Marsha is survived by her children Sharon Merkley (Cale) Spokane WA, Scott Bright (Quila) Mead WA, Christopher Bright Longview WA. Six Grandchildren Alice Bright, Zeke Bright, Xander Merkley, Jordan Merkley, Jaiden Merkley and Rylan Merkley. Brother and sister-in-law Dale and Leeanna Bright, Lewiston Utah, Brother-in-law Levi Anderson, Pocatello Idaho and Leon Bright Moses Lake WA as well as various nieces and nephews.

Per Marsha’s request, there will be a brief graveside service at the Terrace Heights Cemetery in Yakima WA. March 16, 2022, at 1 p.m.
