Airline to begin flights from Spokane to Burbank
SPOKANE — A Texas-based airline will begin offering nonstop flights from Spokane International Airport to Hollywood Burbank Airport in Southern California.
The first flight of the new service from Avelo Airlines will be May 25, according to a press release from the airline.
Avelo will offer service Wednesday and Saturday, with one flight each way each day. Flights will leave Spokane at about 10:15 a.m., and will leave Burbank at about 7 a.m. The flight is about 90 minutes.
The airline operates Boeing Next Generation 737-800 aircraft, and each flight will seat 189 passengers. Avelo, based in Houston, initiated service in April 2021, and serves 18 destinations across the county, the press release said. According to the press release, Avelo was the first new scheduled airline in almost 15 years.
