Othello High School wrestlers named All-Conference

OTHELLO — Four Othello High School girls wrestlers were named to the Central Washington Athletic Conference all-conference team, and two OHS boys wrestlers took first-team CWAC honors. The 2021-22 wrestling all-conference teams were announced last week.

The Othello boys wrestlers were co-recipients of the CWAC sportsmanship award for 2022, which they shared with Grandview High School

Seniors Lexi Monday and Hazel Gonzalez, sophomore Elia Velazquez and freshman Aaliyah Gomez were named to the girls all-conference team. There was one all-CWAC girls team.

Ten OHS wrestlers were selected for the first team, second team and honorable mention all-conference boys team. Junior Josue Solorio and sophomore Isaac Camos were named to the first team; senior Ethan Perez-Medina, junior Terrill Freeman, sophomore Anthony Abundiz and freshman Mason Perez were named to the second team. Senior Zak Rocha, junior Brandon Garza and sophomores Alex Mendez and Marcos Zuniga received honorable mention honors.
