Commissioners seek Horticultural Pest and Disease Board volunteer
EPHRATA — The Grant County Commission is looking for an interested volunteer to serve on the county’s Horticultural Pest and Disease Board.
According to a press release from the county, anyone interested in serving on the board should reside and own land in Grant County and should commercially grow a horticultural product or products. The applicant will be asked to serve a two-year term and will not be paid.
The board helps the county control and prevent the spread of horticultural pests and diseases more effectively, the press release noted.
Anyone interested in applying can contact the county commission at 509-754-2011 ext. 2931 or download an application from the county’s current vacancies web page by going to www.grantcountywa.gov, selecting the “Boards, Commissions & Districts” tab, and clicking on “Current Vacancies on Boards, Commissions and Districts.”
Applications will be accepted until the position is filled.
