October 15, 1952 – June 19, 2022

Carlos Elpideo Castro entered through the gates of heaven on June 19, 2022.

Carlos was born on Wednesday, Oct. 15, 1952. He had three sisters and four brothers. Carlos was preceded in death by his parents Cesar Roberto and Victoria Castro and two brothers Cesar Castro Jr. and Chris Castro.

He was a lifelong resident in Moses Lake, Washington. He is survived by his wife Perla Castro and his children Janicka Sanchez, Johnny Castro, Elizabeth Balderas and Bejamine Castro. He had 12 grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

He served in the U.S. Army Reserves from 1973 to 1982. Carlos worked as a welding fabricator for 10 years, then drove semi trucks up until his retirement at age 65.

He was dedicated to being a son, a father, a grandfather and a great-grandfather. He was strong-willed and ambitious. He enjoyed watching his grandsons wrestle, play football and baseball and loved spending time with his daughters and granddaughters. When he was not traveling he loved to barbecue and sit outside visiting with family. He never missed watching a boxing or UFC fight with his sons. Carlos also enjoyed driving his Corvette on Sunday afternoons.

Carlos was an honest, hardworking man, who loved his family with all his heart.

Our dad will be greatly missed. We take comfort in knowing he is reunited with his mother and father.

A celebration of life for Carlos will be held at the Zamora Park on July 9, 2022 at 4 p.m.

“Through all the tears I have cried, a garden shall truly grow.”
