MLSD selects new elementary principals
MOSES LAKE — Two principals have been hired for elementary schools in the Moses Lake School District according to press releases from the district.
“I have already worked alongside many of the Sage Point staff,” newly-selected Sage Point Elementary Principal Robin Kimbro wrote in the press release. “These teachers and support staff do the best work for our students.”
While Kimbro takes the helm at Sage Point, Beau Kimball will be the new principal at North Elementary, according to the press releases. Both will start their new jobs in August.
Kimbro replaces Noreen Thomas, who announced her retirement at the end of the 2021-22 school year. Kimball replaces Kelly Frederick, who also announced her retirement.
Kimbro has been a teacher and administrator for more than 14 years, according to the press release, teaching at Peninsula, North and Knolls Vista elementaries and working as an instructional coach and interim principal at Peninsula.
Kimball has been teaching in MLSD for 15 years, the press release said, including 12 years at North as a classroom teacher, reading specialist and instructional coach. He has been dean of students and assistant principal at Endeavor Middle School for three years.
“The educational staff (at North Elementary) is truly an amazing group of individuals who are dedicated to the safety, success and well-being of all students,” Kimball wrote.
