MOSES LAKE — With Father’s Day coming this weekend, it’s time for the annual Moses Lake Airshow as well.

This year’s air show will be held at the Grant County International Airport on Saturday, June 18, and Sunday, June 19, and will include aerial acts Kyle Fowler of Go EZ Aerobatcis, Tom Larkin of Mini Jet Airshows, the flying aerobatic duo of Undaunted Airshows, Mike Tryggvason of 10G Aerosports and Brad Wursten in his MXS-R stunt plane, as well as demonstration flights by Mark Peterson in an old A-37 Dragonfly once flown by the South Vietnamese air force and the Erickson Aircraft Collection’s B-17 Flying Fortress.

The show will also include demonstration flights of the U.S. Air Force’s C-17 Globemaster III, the U.S. Marine Corps’ MV-22 Osprey demonstration team, a pair of E/A-18G Growlers from the U.S. Navy’s Whidbey Island base, and a performance by the USMC’s First Corps Band.

On the ground, there will also be a number of static displays of aircraft — including an Air Force flight simulator and a B-25 hosted by Woman Airforce Service Pilots (WASP) to show off the role of women ferrying aircraft to combat zones during World War II — as well as food vendors and activities designed to encourage interest in science, technology, engineering and mathematics.

Gates will open at 10 a.m. and will close at 5 p.m. Attendees are encouraged to bring a lawn chair, cushion or picnic blanket as well as binoculars and sunscreen, as visitors will be parked on a portion of the GCIA’s runway during the show.
