Quincy motorcyclist killed in weekend accident
QUINCY — A Quincy motorcyclist was killed Saturday when his motorbike clipped the rear of a truck, according to a statement from the Washington State Patrol.
Eduardo Acevedo, 24, was riding a 2007 Honda CBR600 eastbound on S.R. 28 not far from the juncture with Road U NW when he attempted to pass a vehicle in front of him. He reportedly clipped the end of a 1997 Dodge Dakota pickup truck driven by Cameron Nelson, 37, of Ellensburg. Acevedo, who was wearing a helmet, and his bike came to a rest in the ditch paralleling the westbound side of the road.
Acevedo was pronounced dead at the scene, according to the WSP, and there were no other injuries reported.
