The Department of Ecology will issue the Final Statewide General Permit for Biosolids Management on June 15, 2022. The permit will be effective on July 15, 2022. The permit applies to all treatment works treating domestic sewage operating within state jurisdiction. A copy of the final permit, as well as a response to comments received on the draft permit, including an explanation of changes made and the principal reasons for adopting the changes can be found at https://ecology.wa.gov/Waste- Toxics/Reducing-recycling-waste/Biosolids/Learn-about/permit-actions. Coverage for some facilities will be final on the effective date of the permit.
