OLYMPIA — A press release on July 25 states that the Mega Millions lottery jackpot had grown to $810 million after its most recent drawing yielded no top-tier winners.

$810 million is the largest Mega Millions jackpot since January 2021, when the jackpot was claimed at $1.050 billion, the release states. If won during Tuesday night’s drawing, it would be the third largest jackpot won in Mega Millions history.

The Mega Millions drawing will take place at 8 p.m. July 26. Tickets for Mega Millions drawings are available until 7:45 p.m. on the day of the draw. Sales for the next drawing resume the same day at 8:01 p.m.

The release states Mega Millions is a national lottery game. Each play is $2. Players pick five numbers between one and 70 and one Mega Ball number between one and 25. Alternatively, players may use quick pick by letting the computer select their numbers. With nine winning ball combinations, the more numbers that match those drawn, the more a player will win. Mega Millions tickets are available for purchase at Washington’s Lottery retail locations throughout the state.
