Evelyn Lucille Cain-Doolin, 84 years old, went home to her Heavenly Father peacefully in the arms of angels on Thursday, July 7, 2022, at Central Washington Hospital in Wenatchee, Washington. Evie was the name close friends and family often called her.

She was born on June 28, 1938, in Yakima, Washington to Kenneth and Gladys Cain and she had two siblings, older brother Glen E. Cain and younger sister Hazel Ruth Cain. Evie grew up in Yakima and Harrah, Washington, graduating from White Swan High School in 1957. She married Bill Callahan Sept. 12, 1959, and together they had two daughters, Lori and Jeanne.

Her family was an inheritance of love and importance to her, but serving Jesus was her first love. Evie devoted her life to raising her family and was dedicated to showing her love for each and every one of them. She married Leo Doolin Feb. 14, 1999, and he was the love of her life.

She is survived by her husband Leo Doolin; daughters Lori Crowe and Jeanne (Shane) Peters; grandchildren Derek (Rowena) Peters, Kyle (Chelsea) Peters, Shaina Peters, Jeremy (Ivy Shipley) Peters, Vonte' and Toneysha Crowe and Pat and Missy Kelly; and seven great grandchildren she loved very much: Jordyn Williams, Maverick and Remi Peters, Aspen, and Luke Peters along with Asher and Kinsey Crowe.
