Manta Ray Aquatics represent at home meet
MOSES LAKE - Manta Ray Aquatics hosted a meet over the weekend that drew more than 450 swimmers to the Surf ‘n Slide Water Park.
The event, the 2022 Sizzlin’ Summer Splash, included 30-plus swimmers compete for the Manta Ray Aquatics team. Club President Steve Washburn said the weather was perfect and it had a great turnout.
“It went amazing,” said Washburn.
Washburn also said he thought this was great for Moses Lake commerce, having so many swimmers come from out of town to stay for the three-day meet and spend money at local businesses.
Top three finishers from the Manta Rays include:
15-year-old Issabelle Parrish placed first in the Women 15 & Over 100 LC Meter Freestyle, Women 15 & Over 200 LC Meter Freestyle and Women 15 & Over 50 LC Meter Freestyle.
18-year-old Zachary Washburn took first place in the Men 15 & Over 100 LC Meter Freestyle and Men 15 & Over 50 LC Meter Freestyle, second in the Men 15 & Over 200 LC Meter Freestyle, Ment 15 & Over 100 LC Meter Breaststroke and Men 15 & Over 100 LC Meter Backstroke, and third in the Men 15 & Over 200 LC Meter Individual Medley.
14-year-old Bria Bodenman took first in the Girls 13-14 200 LC Meter Freestyle and Girls 13-14 400 LC Meter Freestyle.
17-year-old Makhaela Parrish placed second in the Women 15 & Over 200 LC Meter Freestyle and Women 15 & Over 400 LC Meter Freestyle.
12-year-old Marcus Quezada place first in the Boys 11-12 50 LC Meter Butterfly, Boys 11-12 50 LC Meter Backstroke, Boys 11-12 100 LC Meter Butterfly and Boys 11-12 100 LC Meter Backstroke, second in the Boys 11-12 50 LC Meter Breaststroke and Boys 11-12 50 LC Meter Freestyle and third in the Boys 11-12 400 LC Meter Freestyle.
15-year-old Luke Moliitor placed third in the Men 15 & Over 200 LC Meter Butterfly.
19-year-old Laurel Knox placed third in the Women 15 & Over 200 LC Meter Breaststroke.
10-year-old Eduard Cristoloveanu placed first in the Boys 9-10 50 LC Meter Freestyle, Boys 9-10 100 LC Meter Breaststroke and Boys 9-10 200 LC Meter Freestyle.
13-year-old Luca Cristoloveanu took first in the Boys 13-14 100 LC Meter Breaststroke and third in the Boys 13-14 200 LC Meter Individual Medley.
