SOAP LAKE — Soap Lake City Council Position 5 member Andrew Arnold gave his resignation unexpectedly at the end of the July 6 city council meeting.
In his simple resignation, Arnold said he was resigning effective immediately.
“I’m announcing my resignation of the Soap Lake City Council, this is my last meeting,” Arnold said to the council. “It’s been real, it’s been fun. It hasn’t been real fun.”
Upon adjournment, Arnold declined to comment on his sudden departure.
Many in attendance thanked Arnold for his service.
