Eleanor Hoople (Hopkins)

July 16, 1927 – January 23, 2022

Eleanor was born July 16, 1927, to Edward and Margaret Hopkins of Reardan, Washington. She passed away Jan. 23, 2022.

The youngest of three daughters, she was born with spina bifida. She graduated from Reardan High School and attended Kinman Business School. She married Ray Hoople in 1948. Eleanor was a stay-at-home mother and farmers wife in Soap Lake, Reardan and Davenport, Washington before working for ASCS in Davenport and Ephrata, where she retired. She made many good friends and enjoyed sewing, fishing and golfing and spending winters in Arizona. She was diagnosed in 2013 with dementia. After hip surgery, she and Ray moved to assisted living in Moses Lake, Washington.

She is preceded in death by her parents, and two sisters Isabelle and Mary Jean.

She is survived by husband Ray, two children Donna and William, two granddaughters Keri and Adele, four great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

The family would like to thank SummerWood Alzheimers Care for their excellent care. There will be a private inurnment at Valley View Memorial Park at Soap Lake, Washington. No services are scheduled at this time. Donations can be made to Shriners Hospital or Alzheimers Association.
