EPHRATA — The Ephrata High School boys wrestling team overtook Grandview High School at a dual meet on Thursday.

The Tigers, defending their turf, had a team score of 46 points, while Grandview High School only had 33 points.

Ephrata saw pins from four wrestlers: Zander Boyd at 106 pounds, Evan Boyd at 113 pounds, Alex Guitierrez, 120 pounds and Kaden Hallatt at 170 pounds. Hudson Sager also saw victory, winning by major decision at 152 pounds.

“It was a good night for our team to pick up another league victory. We had some tough practices this week in preparation for a tough dual and I’m very proud of our wrestlers for all the work they have been putting in this year,” said Ephrata head wrestling coach Patrick Mitchell.
