Quincy girls basketball team falls to Omak, 24-53
QUINCY – Tuesday night was a rough night for the Quincy High School Lady Jacks, as the basketball team took a tough loss of 24-53 against league contender Omak High School.
From the start, Omak got a lead on the Lady Jacks and would not give it up. Omak led the scoreboard 15-6 going into the second quarter.
Quincy stepped up in the second quarter, nearly keeping pace with Omak. Quincy managed 10 points while Omak scored 13, still leaving Quincy 12 points behind at the half.
Omak kept the pace and scored another 13 points in the third quarter, but the Lady Jacks could only put up six, ending the third quarter with Omak ahead 41-22.
In the fourth quarter, the Lady Jacks only managed two free throw shots, and Quincy ultimately fell to Omak, 24-53.
Sophomore Emilee Morris scored 12 of Quincy’s 24 points.
The Lady Jacks are 4-10 overall and 2-5 in the conference, nearly an exact opposite of the Quincy High School boys basketball team record.
The Lady Jacks’ next scheduled game is Friday at Cashmere High School.
