Ephrata boys basketball falls to Grandview in 4th quarter
EPHRATA – A tough match between boys basketball team league contenders Ephrata High School and Grandview High School on Saturday resulted in Ephrata falling short by only two points.
The first quarter proved this was going to be a close match between the two schools.
Keeping up with each other, Ephrata and Grandview finished the first quarter tied at 20.
In the second and third quarter, Ephrata pulled ahead, scoring first four more points, then five more points than Grandview.
In a shocking turn of events, Grandview found some reserve momentum and came back to score 11 more points than Ephrata in the fourth quarter. This proved to be enough for Grandview to pull ahead by two points and take the game.
The Tigers’ overall record is 5-7 and 1-3 in the conference. They take on Selah High School at Selah on Friday.
