Three injured in head-on collision south of Quincy
Three men were injured Tuesday morning in a collision on state Route 281, just south of Quincy, according to the Washington State Patrol.
Amrosio Ibanez Hernandez, 20, of an unknown city, was allegedly driving erratically northbound on state Route 281, near milepost eight, just before 5:54 a.m. in a silver 2001 Honda Accord. Meanwhile, Isael Z. Solano, 42, of Quincy, was driving a white 1996 Toyota T100 southbound on state Route 281, when Ibanez Hernandez crossed into the southbound lane in the Honda and struck the Toyota head-on.
Ibanez Hernandez, Solano, and Ibanez Hernandez’ passenger, Luis Fernando Ibanez Hernandez, 24, of an unknown city, were taken to Quincy Valley Medical Center for their injuries.
Amrosio Ibanez Hernandez may face charges if the WSP files them with the Grant County Prosecutor’s Office and the office proceeds.
Drugs or alcohol were not a factor, the WSP said, but erratic driving and unsafe passing were the cause.
Solano wore a seat belt, while Ibanez Hernandez didn’t and it was unknown if Fernando Ibanez Hernandez did.
Both vehicles were totaled.
