Richard C. (Dick) Weitman

Richard C. (Dick) Weitman peacefully passed away in his home on Jan. 26, 2022.

Born April 24, 1946, in Omak, Washington to Charles and Isabella Weitman, he was the oldest of four siblings. Dick grew up on the Weitman family ranch in Moses Meadows and graduated in 1964 from Omak High School, before moving to Moses Lake in 1969. He and his late wife Diana were married in 1971 and had three children, Dawn (Pete), Danielle, and Charles (Carisa).

Dick was a very active community member, especially when it came to church and local youth. He was a prominent member of Block 40, Area 3 4-H and Grant County Fair. Among his years ranching, driving truck and mining in Alaska, he recently spent time working in the Moses Lake bus garage as a BDA.

Dick is preceded in death by his parents, younger brother Tom and wife Diana. He is survived by his three children and their spouses, nine grandchildren and two sisters.

Services will be held at 11 a.m. Feb. 26 at the Moses Lake Christian Church, 200 Yonezawa Bolevard. Graveside service will follow, then a light lunch social will be held at the Block 40 Community Building.
