March 22, 1937 – January 26, 2022

Frank A. Timm, 84, of Moses Lake, passed away at home on Jan. 26, 2022. Frank was born on March 22, 1937, in Scranton, North Dakota, where he was raised and graduated in 1955. He served in the Army from 1958 to 1960.

He married Shirley Marx in 1962, and in 1967 they moved to Moses Lake, where they raised their three children. He worked at Basic American Foods from 1969 to 1998 as an mechanic and metal fabricator, which he described as his "true calling" due to the precise and challenging nature of the work.

He was an avid outdoorsman, hunter and builder/fixer of all things and passed his passion for those things on to his grandkids by including them in those activities.

He would talk to a stranger for hours as if they were a lifelong friend, and was always willing to lend a hand when someone needed it. When something needed to be done, that was that; there was nothing else to it. That stubborn resolve to do whatever was necessary is something he instilled in the rest of the Timm clan, and will be a part of him that lives on through his family.

After retirement, he and Shirley traveled the country by RV and enjoyed spending time with family. His retirement also included long hours helping relatives with harvest on their farm well into his 70s, simply because "it needs to be done, and it's easier with more people."

Frank is survived by his wife Shirley; two daughters Nancy and Sondi; eight grandkids Jamie, Gina, Justin, Jordyn, Jared, Tony, Brandi and Ryan; nine great-grandkids Natasha, Shadae, Makayla, Aiden, Olivia, Alexander, Matthew, Roman and Letti; great-great-grandson Devin; two sisters Ann and Faye; and brother Jim.

Services will be held at a later date when his ashes will be laid to rest with his predeceased son, Mark.
