Realtors association swears in new officers
MOSES LAKE — Real estate agents across Grant County gathered Jan. 29 for the Moses Lake-Othello Association of Realtors’ annual awards banquet to swear in the association’s new president and honor local realtors.
Tara Zerbo, a realtor with Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate Gary Mann Realty in Moses Lake, is the association’s new president this year.
“I’m looking to continue what the association does for the community and provide outstanding service for buyers and sellers,” Zerbo said.
Zerbo, who has been a real estate agent for five and a half years, said this is the first time she has been elected the association’s president.
Also elected to oversee the association during 2022 were next year’s president-elect Tami Canfield, secretary Julie Johnson, treasurer Alison May, local board members Kayla Hoffer, Sherri Kasperek and Beth Jarman, state directors Doug Robins, Danielle Svilar and Kandi Bersanti, and Jeff Heimark as affiliate representative.
Outgoing association president Kevin Burgess was named Realtor of the Year for 2022. Mark Fancher received the association’s Realtor Community Service award. Cindie Conklin received an award for Realtor Achievement. Stewart Title was named Affiliate of the Year. Paul Guest received the association’s Citizen of the Year award.
Association members provide scholarships to local high school students and Big Bend Community College students through fundraising efforts at the Grant County Fair’s Burger Barn every summer and volunteer as bell ringers for the Salvation Army during the Christmas season.
