A Moses Lake woman died Thursday morning from injuries in a collision Wednesday night on Road 4 Northeast, according to a Grant County Sheriff’s Office social media post.

Patricia M. Honsowetz, 69, was allegedly speeding in a 2018 Ford Explorer eastbound around 7:30 p.m., went through the intersection with Edwards Road and left the road.

The Ford went through sagebrush and boulders, became airborne twice and continued down to Moses Lake’s shore before coming to rest on its wheels on the ice covering the lake. The onboard emergency notification system alerted first responders.

Grant County Fire District 5, Moses Lake Fire Department and American Medical Response crews rescued Honsowetz and she was flown to Confluence Health Wenatchee Hospital, where she died early Thursday.

Investigators believe she had a medical emergency while driving, which resulted in the collision.

The Chelan County Coroner’s Office has her body.
