QUINCY – The Quincy High School (QHS) girls and boys basketball teams received several awards and honors from the Caribou Trail League (CTL).

The girls team received the sportsmanship award for the CTL, as well as one individual all-league team placement. QHS senior Emily Wurl made first team all-league.

The Quincy boys team had four athletes receive all-league team placements and an honorable mention. Its coach, Scott Bierlink was also named Coach of the Year by the league.

Senior TreyVaughn Bierlink was named as Player of the Year, senior Aidan Heikes was named to first team, sophomore Aidan Bews was named to second team and Jalen Spence was given an honorable mention.

With all-league teams and honors, five athletes from the league are selected by the CTL for each first team and second team, while only two are selected for honorable mentions. This allows boys and girls teams to each have 13 players receive recognition from the league.
