Othello man dies in collision south of Warden

An Othello man died Saturday morning in a collision on Road U Southeast, near Road 10 Southeast, south of Warden, according to a Grant County Sheriff’s Office social media post.

Sergio Sanchez, 22, was driving a 2005 Chevrolet Impala north on Road U Southeast at about 3 a.m. when he lost control of the car on the frost-covered road and struck a utility pole.

He was taken to Samaritan Hospital in Moses Lake, where he died.

The Grant County Coroner’s Office has Sanchez’s body and will conduct an autopsy.
