Two men were injured Wednesday afternoon in a collision on state Route 283, southeast of Quincy, according to the Washington State Patrol.

A black 2006 Cadillac was traveling south on state Route 283 just before 1:47 p.m., with an as-yet unidentified driver, while a white 2019 Dodge Grand Caravan, driven by Joshua V. Hoffman, 43, of Federal Way, was traveling north, near Road 2 Northwest.

The Cadillac crossed the centerline and struck the Dodge in the northbound lane. The Dodge left the road to the east, rolled and came to rest on its top. The Cadillac came to rest off the northbound shoulder.

Hoffman and his passenger, Donald W. Gallagher, 77, of Grand Coulee, were taken to Quincy Valley Medical Center for their injuries.

It was unknown by press time whether the unidentified Cadillac driver was injured, but the person may face charges if the WSP forwards any to the Grant County Prosecutor’s Office and the office proceeds.

All three wore seat belts and both vehicles were totaled.

The cause of the collision was under investigation Wednesday night.
