Ephrata adopts 2023 budget, cancels next city council meeting

EPHRATA - The Ephrata City Council adopted their 2023 budget and decided to cancel their next meeting set for Jan. 4 amongst other things at the meeting Wednesday evening.

The meeting started out with the swearing in of Chief Erik Koch, who took over as Chief of the Ephrata Police Department Nov. 7 when Chief Kurt Adkinson stepped down and took over the role as interim City Administrator for the City of Ephrata.

Other actions included the council passing two ordinances; Ordinance 22-15 amending the 2022 budget and Ordinance 22-16 fee schedule and charges for city services such as water, sewer and garbage.
